1K a year The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for testing solid samples to ensure correct composition and will complete associated tasks such as data logging, sample storage, sample disposal, etc.
He or she may also participate in sample collection and preparation on our customers' worksites.
Responsibilities:
Receive and log samples into the laboratory database Confirm test methods follow laboratory standards and protocol Test samples according to specific and detailed instructions and steps to ensure the reliability of analytical data Operate laboratory instrumentation to test samples Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on the instrumentation that is within the realm of the operators' abilities and within compliance with instrumentation warranty programs Analyze retrieved data and record analyses into laboratory database for review Perform quality control tests in the lab as well as on-site when necessary Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment in preparation for specific tasks Recognize and report any sample issues Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure sample integrity and quality control Keep the laboratory and all equipment clean
Qualifications:
High school diploma Valid Driver's License Ability to use complex instrumentation and machines Knowledge of computers and databases required Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality Ability to communicate effectively Physical strength to lift 50 lbs.
